• Require static IP address for primary MX record
• Dynamic DNS not recommended for primary
• Used in scenario where client has a mail server on their premises and wants to have the ability to initiate a de-queue process on the backup server and they have a connection type with a static IP address associated with it, e.g. Uncapped ADSL, Diginet, iBurst Static, Static dial-up
• Has the advantage of being a well supported, standardized and secure process, however it is not flexible and relies on the primary connection coming up in order to retrieve queued mail
• R200 per domain including 1GB mail throughput, R50 per GB thereafter
